Mariners' Miles Mastrobuoni: DFA'd by Seattle
The Mariners designated Mastrobuoni for assignment Saturday.
After having his contract selected by Seattle on July 3, Mastrobuoni only made three at-bats for the big-league club before being DFA'd Saturday. This marks the second time the 30-year-old has been designated for assignment by Seattle this campaign. With Julio Rodriguez coming back from the 7-day injured list, the Mariners needed to make room for him on the active roster.

Mariners' Julio Rodriguez: Reinstated from injured list
The Mariners reinstated Rodriguez from the 7-day injured list on Saturday.
Rodriguez (concussion) is back from his brief absence on the 7-day IL, which began on July 3. The 25-year-old adds a much-needed bat to Seattle's lineup, as he has slashed .259/.323/.424 with 14 homers and 40 RBI in 378 plate appearances this season. In order to make room for Rodriguez on the active roster, Seattle designated Miles Mastrobuoni for assignment. Rodriguez is in Saturday's lineup, batting second and acting as the designated hitter for Seattle.

Mariners' Bryce Miller: Handed fourth loss
Miller (4-4) took the loss Friday versus the Giants, giving up three runs (two earned) on seven hits and one walk over 5.2 innings. He struck out six.
The right-hander kept San Francisco off the board until the fifth inning, when Bryce Eldridge launched a two-run homer to open the scoring. A hit, two errors and a hit-by-pitch resulted in an unearned run for the Giants in the sixth and prevented Miller from securing his fourth quality start of 2026. The 27-year-old has surrendered more than three runs in just one of his 11 outings this season and now has a 2.27 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 71:10 K:BB across 65.1 innings.

Mariners' Rob Refsnyder: Ready for rehab assignment
Refsnyder (knee) will embark on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma on Saturday, Tim Booth of The Seattle Times reports.
Refsnyder landed on the 10-day IL in late June due to right knee inflammation. The veteran outfielder has progressed enough in his recovery to go on a rehab assignment, which could have him back in the majors by late July or early August. Refsnyder has struggled at the plate this season, posting a .422 OPS with three home runs and nine RBI across 119 plate appearances.

Mariners' Brendan Donovan: Moving rehab to Triple-A
Donovan (groin) will shift his rehab assignment to Triple-A Tacoma on Friday, Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com reports.
Donovan was cleared to embark on a rehab assignment Wednesday in the Arizona Complex League. He'll take the next step in his recovery by playing in Triple-A, but given that he's been sidelined for nearly two months, Donovan will likely need to play in several more minor-league games before returning to the majors.

Mariners' Julio Rodriguez: Idle Friday, could return Saturday
Rodriguez (concussion) is not in the Mariners' starting lineup against the Giants on Friday.
Rodriguez has been on the 7-day injured list since July 3 after entering the league's concussion protocol. He's not quite ready to return following the All-Star break, but Mariners general manager Justin Hollander told reporters Friday that the hope is that Rodriguez is back in the lineup for Saturday's contest, per Tim Booth of The Seattle Times. With Rodriguez sidelined, Seattle will have Victor Robles in center field Friday while Randy Arozarena and Luke Raley man the corners.

Mariners' Brendan Donovan: Beginning assignment Wednesday
Donovan (groin) will begin a rehab assignment in the Arizona Complex League on Wednesday, Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com reports.
Donovan was initially expected to begin his assignment in rookie ball earlier this month, but after several extra days of working out at the Mariners' Arizona complex, he's finally been cleared to test his strained left groin in a competitive setting. The 29-year-old has been on the shelf for nearly two full months, so the M's are likely to keep him in the minors for an extended period of time before adding him back to the active roster.

Mariners' Brendan Donovan: Still hasn't begun rehab assignment
Donovan (groin) still has not begun a minor-league rehab assignment.
Donovan last played May 15 and has been dealing with groin issues since the eighth game of the season. He spent some time on the injured list in late April before returning to play in seven contests only to head back to the IL following an aggravation. Donovan started a running program last month and was expected to head out on a rehab assignment last week. He's been in Arizona but has yet to appear in any minor-league contests. It seems unlikely Donovan will be ready to rejoin the Mariners' lineup coming out of the All-Star break Friday against the Giants.

Mariners' J.P. Crawford: Three hits Sunday
Crawford went 3-for-4 with two doubles, three RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 8-2 win over Tampa Bay.
Crawford extended Seattle's lead to 3-0 in the second inning with his two-out, two-run double off Ian Seymour before adding a third RBI with his second double in the ninth. It's a nice way to head into the All-Star break for Crawford, who'd gone 13 games without an RBI prior to Sunday -- he went 8-for-52 (.154) with a .453 OPS over that span. Overall, Crawford is slashing .218/.334/.359 with 10 homers, 38 runs scored, 28 RBI and one steal through 335 plate appearances this season.

Mariners' Randy Arozarena: Launches 11th home run
Arozarena went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Sunday's 8-2 win over the Rays.
Arozarena broke the game wide open in the fourth inning with a three-run blast off Cole Sulser. The long ball gives him 11 home runs on the season. The outfielder has heated up at the plate, homering four times over his last 14 games while batting .294 with 12 RBI during that stretch. He heads into the All-Star break slashing .286/.380/.458 across 89 games.

Mariners' Weston Wilson: First homer with Seattle
Wilson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 8-2 win over the Rays.
Wilson added to Seattle's lead by taking Ian Seymour deep for a solo homer in the fourth inning. It was his second long ball of the season and first since the Mariners claimed him off waivers June 18. The utility man has seen limited production with his new club, going 3-for-18 across his first 10 games with Seattle.
