Orioles' Shane Baz: Game 162 canceled
Baz will not start in Sunday's regular-season finale against the Yankees due to inclement weather, and the game will not be rescheduled.
Sunday's game didn't carry much meaning, given that the Yankees are locked in as the No. 4 seed in the American League playoffs and the Orioles are eliminated from postseason contention. Baz will end the 2026 regular season with a 6-15 record across 31 starts and a 4.11 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 154:63 K:BB over a career-high 179.2 innings.

Orioles' Brandon Young: Takes loss in season finale
Young (9-6) took the loss against the Yankees in Game 2 of Friday's doubleheader, allowing one run on two hits and three walks with six strikeouts over five innings.
Young opened with four scoreless frames before allowing a run on a double in the fifth, throwing 46 of 82 pitches for strikes with 14 whiffs. It was a tough-luck loss for the 28-year-old, who last earned a win Aug. 11 despite yielding two earned runs or fewer in five of eight starts since. He'll finish a solid campaign with a 3.56 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 133:61 K:BB across 156.2 innings.

Orioles' Pete Alonso: Two more homers in twin bill
Alonso went 4-for-8 with two home runs, two walks, three RBI and four runs scored across both games of Friday's doubleheader against the Yankees.
Alonso took sole possession of the American League lead in home runs with two long balls in Game 1 before reaching base three times in Game 2. Prior to his single in the fourth inning of the first game, the slugger's previous seven hits had left the yard. He's gone deep 11 times overall in 23 September contests and is slashing .267/.363/.522 with 43 homers, 113 RBI, 100 runs scored and five steals across 700 plate appearances with one game to go this season.

Orioles' Dylan Beavers: Homers twice across twin bill
Beavers went 2-for-9 with two home runs, five RBI and two runs scored across both games of Friday's doubleheader against the Yankees.
Beavers launched his first career grand slam in Game 1 before adding a solo shot in the ninth inning of Game 2. The 25-year-old is trying to put an exclamation point on what has been a forgettable September, as he entered Friday hitting just .162 over 19 games in the month. Overall, he's slashing .228/.307/.373 with nine homers, 44 RBI, 41 runs scored and five steals across 363 plate appearances in his first full major-league campaign.

Orioles' Trevor Rogers: Early hook in no-decision
Rogers did not factor into the decision in Friday's 10-2 win over the Yankees, allowing one run on five hits and no walks with four strikeouts over four innings.
Rogers allowed a run in the fourth inning but was solid overall, filling the zone with 41 of 55 pitches while generating 11 whiffs in his final start of the campaign. The 28-year-old finished the year strong, posting a 2.53 ERA with a stellar 36:2 K:BB over five September outings. He'll finish the season 10-11 with a 4.03 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 157:39 K:BB across a career-high 169.2 innings and will test free agency this offseason.

Orioles' Blaze Alexander: Will not be activated
Orioles manager Craig Albernaz indicated Friday that Alexander (back) will not be activated from the 10-day injured list before the end of the season, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports.
Alexander has been out since early September with back spasms. His back is still bothing him, so the out-of-contention Orioles won't press the issue. Alexander was limited to 93 games this season due to injury but was a valuable super utility player when on the field, slashing .303/.358/.414 with four home runs and 10 stolen bases. The 27-year-old will likely have a similar role with the Orioles in 2027.

Orioles' Trey Gibson: Optioned after doubleheader
Gibson was optioned to the Orioles' Spring Training Complex after Wednesday's doubleheader against the Blue Jays.
Gibson pitched 6.2 scoreless innings, allowing three hits and two walks while striking out seven on his way to win in the team's 4-2 victory over Toronto in the nightcap of Wednesday's doubleheader. He will now end his season having produced a 6.13 ERA and 1.71 WHIP with 37 strikeouts over 39.2 innings in nine appearances, including eight starts, with Baltimore this season.

Orioles' Albert Suarez: Contract selected Thursday
Suarez had his contract selected from Triple-A Norfolk on Thursday.
Suarez will join the major-league roster ahead of the team's final series of the regular season beginning Friday in the Bronx. Suarez has produced a 4.12 ERA and 1.25 WHIP with 41 strikeouts over 59 innings in 27 appearances with Baltimore this season. Right-handed pitcher Trey Gibson was optioned to the team's Spring Training Complex in a corresponding move.

Orioles' Kyle Bradish: Transferred to 60-day IL
Bradish (abdomen) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Thursday.
Bradish is dealing with a sport hernia, and he was already set to miss the final stretch of the regular season. Right-handed pitcher Albert Suarez had his contract selected from Triple-A Norfolk on Thursday, and he will replace Bradish on the 40-man roster.

Orioles' Trey Gibson: Blanks Blue Jays in quality start
Gibson (2-3) picked up the win in the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader against Toronto, allowing three hits and two walks over 6.2 scoreless innings. He struck out seven.
In his first big-league start since June 30, Gibson took advantage of a demoralized Blue Jays squad that had been eliminated from playoff contention in the first half of the twin bill. The result was the best start of the 24-year-old righty's brief career, as he fired 65 of 92 pitches for strikes in his first quality start. He's struggled to find much consistency in 2026, either in the majors or at Triple-A, but with Trevor Rogers and Chris Bassitt both set to reach free agency this offseason, there could be a spot in the 2027 rotation for Gibson.

Orioles' Pete Alonso: Launches 41st homer
Alonso went 1-for-3 with a walk and a two-run home run in the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader sweep of the Blue Jays.
The first baseman took future Hall of Famer Max Scherzer deep in the fifth inning, Alonso's ninth homer in September and his 41st of the season. His first year with Baltimore has gone as well as the team could have hoped -- in addition to an .871 OPS that's tied for the second-best mark of his career, he's reached the 40-homer mark for the fourth time and the 100-RBI plateau for the fifth time. Alonso also needs to cross the plate just four more times to record his second season with 100-plus runs.

Orioles' Andrew Kittredge: Pockets 11th save
Kittredge recorded his 11th save of the season in the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Blue Jays, giving up a hit and striking out one in a scoreless ninth inning.
The right-hander has remained in the late-inning mix even with Felix Bautista back in the fold, and Kittredge (two) and Rico Garcia (four) have split Baltimore's last six saves. Since the beginning of August, Kittredge has collected two wins, three holds and seven saves in 19 appearances with a 3.63 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 12:2 K:BB over 17.1 innings.

Orioles' Chris Bassitt: Collects ninth win
Bassitt (9-5) picked up the win in the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader sweep of the Blue Jays, allowing two runs on seven hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out two.
It was something of a revenge game for veteran right-hander, as with the victory Bassitt helped eliminate his former club from playoff contention while keeping Baltimore's faint wild-card hopes alive. Bassitt has been on a roll to close out the 2026 regular season, winning five of his last six starts while posting a 3.63 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 28:12 K:BB over 34.2 innings.
