  • Giants' Victor Bericoto: Hits first career home run

Bericoto went 1-for-3 with a solo home run during Wednesday's 1-0 win over the Brewers.

Bericoto crushed an opposite field home run off of Robert Gasser in the fifth to score the only run of the entire game for both teams. Bericoto has been playing primarily in right field since being called up in late May. He has only 12 plate appearances in eight games played, but has three hits so far.

  • Wilyer Abreu RF | BOS

Red Sox's Wilyer Abreu: Drills seventh homer in win

Abreu went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in Wednesday's 8-1 win over the Orioles.

Abreu's last homer came during the May 8 win over the Rays, so he snapped a long power drought. Additionally, the three RBI on Wednesday established a season high. Abreu is putting together a quality campaign as Boston's top right fielder, slashing .283/.345/.435 with seven long balls, 12 doubles, 28 RBI and four stolen bases across 256 plate appearances.

  • Keaton Winn RP | SF

Giants' Keaton Winn: Picks up first save of season

Winn struck out one and also gave up a hit in 1.2 innings to pick up a save in Wednesday's 1-0 win over Milwaukee.

Winn got called on in the eighth and got the last five out of the game to earn his second career save, and first since 2023. The 28-year-old came in and got Gary Sanchez to ground into an inning-ending double play and pitched around a leadoff double by Christian Yelich in the ninth. No pitcher in the Giants' bullpen has gotten more than three saves this season, and with Winn being second in appearances on the team this season, he could be getting more opportunities to get these multi-inning save opportunities.

  • Payton Tolle SP | BOS

Red Sox's Payton Tolle: Six shutout innings in third win

Tolle (3-2) earned the win Wednesday against the Orioles, allowing no runs on seven hits and two walks in six innings. He struck out five.

Tolle danced around plenty of pressure Wednesday, throwing just one clean inning on the evening, but he still managed to deliver his second scoreless start of the campaign. The 23-year-old left-hander is showing great improvement at keeping the ball in the yard this year, serving up just three home runs over 47.1 innings after giving up five across just 16.1 frames last regular season. Tolle will carry an impressive 2.28 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 51:13 K:BB into his next scheduled outing in Tampa Bay against the Rays.

  • Logan Webb SP | SF

Giants' Logan Webb: Dominates in win

Webb (3-4) got the win Wednesday against the Brewers, giving up no runs on one hit and one walk with four strikeouts across seven innings.

Webb carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning before Brice Turang lined an opposite field single. The right-hander's groundball rate of 58.2 percent was in full effect as the Brewers could only manage weak contact throughout the game. This is Webb's most dominant start this year as it has not been a strong start of a season for Webb as he had a 4.82 ERA coming into the game even though his underlying stuff (34.2 percent chase rate) have been good. The 29-year-old is slated to make his next start at home against the Nationals.

  • Joe Mantiply RP | TOR

Blue Jays' Joe Mantiply: Moved to 60-day IL

The Blue Jays transferred Mantipky (knee) to the 60-day injured list Wednesday, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Mantiply is set to undergo arthroscopic surgery on his left knee, so the Blue Jays will stash him away on the 60-day IL and give his spot on the 40-man roster to Simeon Woods Richardson, who was acquired from the Twins on Wednesday.

  • Cade Smith RP | CLE

Guardians' Cade Smith: Hangs on for save No. 21

Smith secured the save Wednesday against the Yankees, allowing one run on one hit and no walks in the ninth inning. He struck out one.

While Smith did allow the possible tying run to get to the plate, he got Jose Caballero to pop out and seal a one-run win for Cleveland. The right-hander has mostly excelled as the Guardians' closer in 2026, posting a 2.83 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 43:5 K:BB over 28.2 innings with just two blown saves. Smith ranks first in the major leagues with 21 saves to this point.

  • Robert Gasser SP | MIL

Brewers' Robert Gasser: Dealt second loss of season

Gasser (0-2) picked up the loss Wednesday, allowing one run on five hits and a walk over five innings during a 1-0 loss against the Giants. He struck out five.

Gasser was called up Wednesday just a couple of hours before his start, but delivered his most efficient start of the season. In his third start this season, Gasser limited his walks after giving up six in his first 8.1 innings, and the only run he gave up was a solo home run to Victor Bericoto. The 27-year-old could still be sent down if the Brewers believe Brandon Woodruff (shoulder) is ready to pitch again next week.

  • Aaron Judge RF | NYY

Yankees' Aaron Judge: Slated for additional imaging

Manager Aaron Boone said Wednesday that Judge (ribs) will undergo additional imaging, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.

Judge has been dealing with shoulder soreness for the past couple of weeks. Initial imaging determined it to be a result of a bone bruise in his ribs, but now that he's missed two consecutive games, the Yankees are going to send him in for another round of tests to make sure he isn't dealing with a more significant injury. He can be considered day-to-day while the team waits for his results to come back.

  • Chris Bassitt SP | BAL

Orioles' Chris Bassitt: Pulled early with back tightness

Bassitt was removed from Wednesday's game against Boston due to lower-back tightness, Jacob Calvin Meyer of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Bassitt made it through just three innings Wednesday, allowing three earned runs on six hits and two walks while striking out one batter before his back forced him out of the game. The team hasn't provided any information regarding the severity of the right-hander's injury, so it's unclear whether he'll be ready for his next start -- tentatively scheduled for Monday against Seattle.
