    Analysis

    The Pels have looked a bit more competitive lately with Zion Williamson staying off the injury list but the host Hornets have taken it a bit further. How so? Charlotte is actually winning games, now six in a row, as Charles Lee finally has had most hands on deck. The recent results are noteworthy, including a win over the Spurs on Saturday, when on-fire Brandon Miller (26 points) led the Hornets in scoring for the eighth time in nine games, and Charlotte dominated the glass by a 51-36 count. Ottawa is ranked third in shots against with a +195 shot differential (4th), whereas the Penguins are ranked 13th with a +97 shot differential, aided by that soft schedule. The Sens have allowed the fewest high-danger shots on goal and own a +19 HDSD, while Pittsburgh is ranked 19th and sports a +2 differential. Ottawa defeated the Penguins 4-0 earlier this season, and that was when the Penguins had Kris Letang patrolling the blue line.

    Analysis

    The Orange are coming off an 86-72 win over Notre Dame. And this is a lookahead spot for UNC, with the Duke game coming up Saturday. But I still bet the Tar Heels to win convincingly, based on their current form. Syracuse's last two road games have resulted in a 20-point loss at NC State and an overtime loss at Boston College. In ACC play, the Tar Heels lead the conference in scoring (84.7), field-goal percentage (49.2) and effective field-goal percentage (56.7). They just blew out Georgia Tech despite shooting 8 of 31 from deep. The Orange have only had one Quad 1 matchup in the ACC, a blowout loss in Raleigh, N.C. Back UNC to cover its fourth straight.

    Saturday's 6-5 win vs. the Rangers looks closer than the game played, as the Pens were in control from the outset and saw NY score a belated three goals in the last 4:45, and two in the final 1:07 at PPG Paints Arena. Pittsburgh, however, now has six straight wins, and four times in those six landed on six goals, too, so the offense is percolating, with Anthony Mantha the hot scorer, tallying three times in the last two games. Arturs Silovs likely goes in goal tonight after stopping 101 of 109 shots in his last four starts.     Analysis

    This opening line at DK seems off to me. SFA and McNeese are the two top teams in the Southland Conference and extremely close on paper. That showed in the first meeting when McNeese won by two at home, 66-64. I expect another tight game here that comes down to the wire. I make this line a pick and think it moves towards SFA. Try to get +3 or better.
