  • Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Back to second in order

Perdomo batted second and went 1-for-2 with two walks, an RBI and a run scored in Monday's 4-3 win over the Angels.

Perdomo, who had spent the previous 10 games lower in the order, was moved back to the two hole among a slew of batting order changes enacted by manager Torey Lovullo. The shortstop had gone 12-for-34 (.353) with six walks and three steals during his brief time in the lower third of the order.

  • Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Homer, stolen base in win

Perdomo went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer and a stolen base in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Reds.

Perdomo put the Diamondbacks ahead in the sixth inning with his 400-foot blast off Tejay Antone, his fourth of the year and first in 15 games. Perdomo got off to a slow start this season, though he's started to swing the bat better of late, going 14-for-39 (.359) with an .892 OPS in his last 12 contests. Overall, he's slashing .244/.350/.359 across 284 plate appearances this season with 24 RBI, 30 runs scored and 11 stolen bases.

  • Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Staying in lower third of order

Arizona manager Torey Lovullo said Thursday that the plan for now is to keep Perdomo in the lower third of the batting order, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports.

Perdomo hit out of the seventh spot Thursday and responded with two hits, including a two-out, game-tying single in the bottom of the eighth inning. Perdomo could move around the lineup depending on days off for teammates, but the plan is to mainly keep in the seven-hole for now. The shortstop had a breakout 2025 but is slashing .230/.333/.348 with three home runs, 22 RBI, eight steals and 27 runs through 59 games in 2026.

  • Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Demoted to seventh in lineup

Perdomo will start at shortstop and bat seventh in Thursday's game against the Dodgers.

Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo noted during Perdomo's day off Tuesday that he was thinking of moving the 26-year-old down in the batting order from his usual No. 3 spot. Perdomo batted leadoff Wednesday while Ketel Marte (back/hamstring) was banged up, but the shortstop will hit a season-low seventh in Thursday's series finale. It's the first time all season batting lower than third for Perdomo, who is slashing only .225/.331/.345 this year following his breakout 2025 campaign.

  • Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Could move down order after day off

Perdomo will not be in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Dodgers, John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM reports.

It will be the first day off since late April for Perdomo, who is hitless across his last three games and is now slashing only .221/.329/.344 for the season. Per Jack Sommers of SI.com, Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo noted prior to Monday's contest that he's "thinking about" moving Perdomo -- who has yet to hit lower than third this season -- down in the batting order, so that could happen when he returns to the lineup Wednesday. Jose Fernandez will grab a start at shortstop Tuesday while Perdomo resets.

  • Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Goes yard in loss

Perdomo went 3-for-6 with a solo home run, a double and three total runs scored in Friday's 7-6 extra-inning loss to the Mariners.

Perdomo's last long ball was May 1 versus the Cubs. In the 24 contests in between homers, he hit a meager .200 with five doubles and 11 RBI. The shortstop hasn't come close to replicating his breakout year from 2025 -- he's batting .232 with a .703 OPS, three homers, 21 RBI, 26 runs scored, nine doubles, three triples and eight stolen bases over 53 contests this season. While his numbers are down across the board, Perdomo still offers enough speed to be enticing in fantasy if he can get on base enough to use that skill.
