2025 RBC Heritage leaderboard: Live updates, golf scores, full coverage of Round 3 at Harbour Town
Live scores, updates and highlights from the third round of the RBC Heritage in South Carolina
Unlike last year when Masters champion Scottie Scheffler doubled up in Hilton Head, South Carolina, 2025 green jacket winner Rory McIlroy is not competing this week given the RBC Heritage is generally the signature event he takes off each year. No matter given the loaded field is tight at the top with Justin Thomas converting his 18-hole lead into a 36-hole advantage sitting two shots ahead of Si Woo Kim and Russell Henley entering Moving Day at Harbour Town Golf Links.
Thomas opened the tournament by matching a course record with a 61, and while his second-round 69 was less impressive, he nevertheless remains the main to beat in Hilton Head. Kim shot up the leaderboard with a Friday 64, matching efforts from Henley and reigning champion Scheffler for the second-best round of the week. Scheffler sits T6 and just four shots back of the lead putting him firmly in contention entering the weekend. Also eyeing Thomas' spot atop the leaderboard is Collin Morikawa, who is only five shots back with 36 holes to play.

Justin Thomas assessed a penalty stroke on 2nd hole, saves par but now T1 with Si Woo Kim
After making a par on the first, Justin Thomas arrived at the par-5 second hole with his lead trimmed to just one after Si Woo Kim made a birdie. Thomas drove it in the left fairway bunker (which plays as a waste area) and as he tried to move some loose impediments around his ball, he caused it to move ever so slightly. Thomas called over a rules official and alerted them to the tiny movement. They had him hit his shot from where it ended up and then reviewed the video to figure out if there was a penalty that needed to be enforced.
The result was a one-shot penalty stroke being assessed, and while Thomas was able to save his par with an up-and-down from just short of the green, it would've been a birdie if not for the unfortunate penalty. That meant when Thomas walked off the second green he was tied for the lead with Kim, who birdied the hole as he got off to a hot start to his round.
Scottie Scheffler and the chasers are on the course
The final two groups are the last ones yet to tee off on what should be an active Moving Day at the RBC Heritage. Scottie Scheffler and Wyndham Clark both opened with pars in the marquee pairing of the chase group, but a few players have quickly gotten it into red figures to start their third rounds.
Brian Harman and Maverick McNealy both birdied the first two holes of the day and have moved themselves to -9 for the tournament, three back of leader Justin Thomas. As we saw earlier in the day with a 63 and 64 posted by Byeong Hun An and Will Zalatoris, there are low scores available and Thomas will need to keep pushing deeper under par if he's going to maintain his solo lead into Sunday.
Byeong Hun An posts a 63 (-8) to jump into the top 10 before the leaders tee off
Not long after Zalatoris got into the clubhouse, An bested him for the round of the day with a 63 that included a bogey to finish. An got it to -9 for his day after his seventh birdie of the round on 16, and had a real chance to match Justin Thomas' 61 from Thursday for the best round of the week.
However, An found the native area left of the green on 18 leading to a closing bogey that dropped him back to -8 for the day and the tournament. That's good enough for T6 currently, as An made a huge move to climb 51 spots up the leaderboard. An's round is a pretty good barometer for what is possible on the course today, and the leaders will be looking at his round and Zalatoris' as evidence of the kind of surge you can make at Harbour Town on Saturday.
That said, An's bogey on No. 18 is a reminder of how tricky the closing par 4 can be, as he's not the only one to end his round with some squares going on the card -- Max Homa had a great day unravel with a triple on the last.
Will Zalatoris sets the Saturday pace with a 64 (-7)
The early round of the day in the third round belongs to Will Zalatoris, who fired a 7-under 64 to jump up from T68 to T40 on the leaderboard at -4 for the tournament. Zalatoris went bogey-free around Harbour Town on Saturday morning, with seven birdies and 11 pars to set a marker for the type of scoring that is available today.
His mark could be eclipsed soon, as Byeong Hun An has his round to -8 thru 15, as he's moved up 51 spots on the leaderboard into the top 10 currently before the leaders tee off. An has six birdies and an eagle on his card so far, and has three holes to add two more circles to his card and match Justin Thomas' 61 for the round of the tournament.
Low rounds on the course early on Moving Day
There should be some volatility on the leaderboard for Moving Day at the RBC Heritage, as the early wave of players on the course at Harbour Town Golf Links are showing there are low scores to be had once again.
Taylor Pendrith and Will Zalatoris have the low rounds on the course at -5 thru 12, as they have moved themselves into red figures for the week. Adam Hadwin is -4 thru 13 and Byeong Hun An is -4 thru 8, while Sam Stevens, Max Homa and Tom Hoge all have it to -3 on their front nines.
While Justin Thomas leads by two currently, there will be scores in the mid-to-low 60s available today and anyone within six shots of the lead will probably feel like they can make up that ground with a great day. Thomas, meanwhile, will hope to find the vibe from Thursday that led him to a 61 to try and put some more space between himself and the rest of the leaderboard going into Sunday.
