Raptors' Kawhi Leonard: Trade finally completed
The Clippers and Raptors both agreed Monday to complete the trade sending Leonard to Toronto for Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick, two unprotected first-round picks, one first-round pick swap and two second-rounders, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Over two months after the deal was initially agreed upon, it will finally be processed following the NBA's investigation of salary-cap circumvention involving Leonard and the Clippers. The star forward is coming off one of the best seasons of his storied career in 2025-26 with Los Angeles, having averaged 27.9 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game over 65 regular-season appearances.

Raptors' Nate Bittle: Spotted in walking boot
Bittle (lower leg) was spotted in a walking boot Wednesday, Esfandiar Baraheni of The Athletic reports.
Bittle missed Toronto's Summer League finale due to right knee soreness, though it's unclear exactly what he's dealing with now. The 23-year-old center out of Oregon signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Raptors in June and is set to compete for a spot on the regular-season roster at training camp, so his status will be worth monitoring moving forward.

Raptors' Immanuel Quickley: Faces pressure entering 2026-27 season
Quickley enters next season with pressure on him alongside RJ Barrett in the Raptors' backcourt, according to Esfandiar Baraheni of The Athletic.
Although expectations in Toronto are rising, the anticipated arrival of Kawhi Leonard should help alleviate some of the offensive burdens on Quickley at point guard. Quickley went down with a strained hamstring late last season, but not before he recorded a career-high 70 regular-season starts and averaged a career-best 5.9 assists and 1.3 steals in 31.9 minutes per game. The 27-year-old also ranked sixth in the league among qualified players in assist to turnover ratio (4.1) last year, so Quickley's ability to orchestrate the offense efficiently should help him maintain mid-round fantasy value even if he slots in as perhaps the fourth scoring option behind Leonard, Barrett and Scottie Barnes.

Raptors' Kawhi Leonard: Fined, avoids suspension
Leonard has been fined $700,000 in restitution for improper benefits due to his involvement in the Clippers' salary cap circumvention, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
The Clippers were punished harshly by the NBA, including a $30 million fine for Steve Ballmer and the loss of five first-round picks. However, it appears Leonard will be able to suit up for the Raptors on Opening Night after only receiving a monetary punishment. The trade that sent Leonard to Toronto should be finalized soon now that the NBA has closed its investigation. Leonard has one year left on his deal, valued at $50.3 million, but it's likely there will be mutual interest in an extension.

Raptors' Kawhi Leonard: Trade to Toronto can proceed, reportedly
The NBA has found no evidence showing Clippers owner Steve Ballmer used side endorsements to illegally pay Leonard, per Don Van Natta Jr., Baxter Holmes and Ramona Shelburne of ESPN.com. However, NBA spokesman Mike Bass refuted ESPN's article, citing "numerous and significant inaccuracies."
Reportedly, the league's investigation didn't find that Ballmer or the franchise funneled money through team sponsors to circumvent the salary cap, which should help clear a major hurdle in finalizing Leonard's pending trade to the Raptors. The expectation is that the deal will be made official ahead of training camp in the fall, but fantasy managers should proceed with caution until the NBA's investigation concludes.
